Parent Teacher Organization

Before discussing the end of the year activities at the final PTO meeting, Paige Lombardi, outgoing PTO President, expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the board for all their support and dedication. Throughout the year, this team of parent volunteers worked closely together to coordinate special activities, support school events, assist with classroom projects, and organize school programs. Their focus is to provide the best possible educational experience for our students and to promote a successful school community. Thank you to the outgoing and incoming PTO board for stepping up and accepting the call to serve, and to all the parents who have provided their support to the many PTO activities throughout the year. Annunciation School is honored to be working with each and everyone of you. We are #saintsstrong!

Welcome into the Eucharistic community

In the presence of their family, friends and parishioners, the Annunciation second grade students received their First Holy Communion on April 21, 2018. On this holy and joyful occasion, students were united with Jesus in a way that they never have before. As they continue to join us at the Lord's table, may they share more intimately in the faith of our community and continue to discover what it means to live a life of love like Jesus.

Frog and Toad Readers Theater

Frog and Toad Readers Theater is a long time tradition in Mrs. Ross’ first grade class. Readers Theater does not involve fancy costumes or elaborate sets, just students “performing” by reading a script from their favorite Frog and Toad children’s book. The story begins to come alive as students read their script with expression and a few gestures.  Readers Theater enhances the student's reading fluency, comprehension, and self-confidence, all while delighting an audience of proud parents and grandparents.

Grandparent Literature Day

Once a month, students in Mrs. Ross’ first grade class, huddle together with their grandparents and special guests to read, listen, and talk about their favorite stories. Today was the last Grandparent Literature Day of the school year. We want to thank all our grandparents for giving their time and lending their support to help the students build upon their reading and language skills. Your visits were always the highlight of the day!

Safety First!

Each school day, a group of student volunteers arrive early and stay late to help promote a safe school environment. These Safety Patrol volunteers promote traffic safety during drop-off and pick-up, increasing the safety of our students and traffic flow efficiency for our parents. Safety Patrol volunteers do not direct traffic but help to direct students safely to their destination, under the direction of a teacher advisor. We thank our Safety Patrol team for their commitment to the safety of their peers.
