Pioneer Living at Valley Days

Learning about our local California history, the third grade class set out to experience the lifestyle of pioneer children living in the agricultural community of San Joaquin County during the late 1800’s. Students spent the day participating in Valley Days, a living historical educational program hosted by San Joaquin County Historical Museum. Dressed in period clothing, students participated in a variety of hands-on activities: butter making, rope making, blacksmithing, crafts, and games.
